About the Naremburn Progress Association
Our Purpose
According with our constitution our purpose is as follows.
“The Naremburn Progress Association is a not-for-profit community organisation.
The objectives of the Association are to promote the welfare and advancement of the Naremburn community, to preserve and improve the amenity and environment of the Naremburn District and nearby areas, to encourage a spirit of community and mutual help among all residents and to co- operate with other groups in pursuit of these objects.
Matters of business will always be pursued on a non-political and non-sectarian basis.”
Our vision for Naremburn, confirmed by the members of the Association in 2022, is a place that is described as:
1. A Dynamic, Safe Suburb : streets that are safe, connected and usable for locals supported by great active and public transport
2. A Thriving Local Shopping Village: a local centre that is thriving, to scale and attractive
3. A Green, Open and Liveable Oasis: a suburb that is sustainable, clean and green – an oasis from over development
4. A Celebration of Heritage: a suburb that is known to uniquely represent and celebrate the heritage of the North Shore
